Website News!

27 01 2008

It has been a fairly slow weekend but, regardless, we have been working on the site! We have fully integrated Twitter into the site, visible with the widget on your right hand side (our Twitter username is “theilife”). Also, we have setup an AIM account for anyone wanting to contact us (again, our screen name is “theilife). Lastly we are proud to announce that we have another writer for theiLife.com. Our third Matt on staff, Matt Hamilton will now be writing for us on a weekly basis- so start looking for his work coming soon! We hope you enjoy these enhancements and have a happy Sunday!

Instant Message Us!

theiLife AIM
Our AIM address really is theilife

A friend of mine recently suggested we reach out to our community a little more. So I have opened an AIM (AOL Instant Messenger) account for those who would like to discuss anything with the Admins at theiLife.com. Feel free to hit us up, anytime, with anything you would like to discuss- or just to leave us a comment or suggestion. As always, you can still leave a comment on the site or email us too! Instant Message away at “theilife” (no quotes, though).

Macworld 2008 – Update II!

7 01 2008

Macworld AJAX v2

Ok, so the official countdown reads now reads 7 days- time to update on Macworld! Sidney and I have been working on the AJAX app and are proud to announce that the framework has been completed this weekend. It is now time to add the Javascript to make everything pretty as well as add some parts of the back end, to make it easier to post while at Macworld. This means that the Application itself should be done before weeks end (or at least, in beta)! This screenshot above is not the photoshop mockup anymore, that is an actual HTML file. We are very proud to announce this, and will certainly let you know when you can start testing it, as well as registering your phones for SMS updates.

Site Update

21 12 2007

Wow! TheiLife.com has all the suddenly taken off! We are averaging almost 300 unique visits a day, which for a site that is not even two months old- is great! We love to see people enjoying what we create. With that said, things are going to be changing in the coming weeks. We have a host of tutorials, articles, podcasts, reviews coming your way in the very near future.

Also, we are working extensively on Macworld, while trying to do everything else at the same time. This explains the general lack of content this week (compared to last). We hope you understand that we have our hands full, and over the coming weeks there will be lots of great stuff ready for mass consumption.

Stick it out- things will be all good. (and look for a podcast coming your way, soon!)

New Writers!

20 12 2007

We are proud to announce that we have gained two new writers, Matt Rosenhein and Dan Spiers. Both have joined theiLife.com writing team in hopes of bringing new perspectives to the site with Matt focusing on hardware and Dan on gaming as well as switching from PC to Mac. Look out for posts and other content from both of them in the near future.

Macworld 2008 – Update I!

19 12 2007

Just as I promised, Sidney and I have been working on the AJAX application. We have come to terms (for now) with the design, and have began to *start* coding. This part of the process will probably be the most time consuming, so hang on tight- there should be more to come in about a week or so.

Screenshot of the design below:
