The Roundup

The Roundup: A new weekly series where I will “Roundup” the biggest tech stories of the week!

Take a look after the jump a quick sample of what you might find in a weekly roundup

From Gizmodo:

Linux for iPhone May Open the Door to Android iPhone

Saw this headline and thought, Roundup! Its really cool that the Dev team was finally able to get Linux onto the iPhone, but at this point, what use is it? No sound, touch support, and no cell or wifi. Yes, you can interact with it using a USB keyboard and some hacking (Hey, isn’t that whats this is all about), but I’ll really be interested in this when you have it as a option to the current iPhone firmware. Even if the Dev team had figured out how to have touch support (and hopefully a virtual keyboard), it would be much more exciting, and it would have the possibility of using it as a mobile platform right now. But I’m sure it is to come. I know that developing this hack wasn’t easy, so I really should just keep my mouth shut. Oh Well. Congratulations to the iPhone Dev Team!

And there you have it! Keep a lookout for the Roundup logo and set your favorite RSS reader to:
